This talk gives a brief introduction on Supélec and then addresses a second-order moment-based spectrum sensing algorithm in a cognitive radio context. Based on a joint and iterative channel and noise variance estimator for OFDM systems, the method accurately estimates the noise variance when the primary user’s signal is missing from the tested band. By comparing the estimated noise level with the second-order moment of the received signal, it is possible to detect the presence of the user in the band. The algorithm allows the receiver to perform the joint detection, channel and noise variance estimation. The analytical probability and false alarm probabilities are proposed, and simulations show the accuracy of the detector.
专家介绍
Professor Yves Louët was born in Quimperlé (France) in 1973. He is an engineer of the ISITV (Institute of Science Engineering), Toulon, France, 1996. He received his M.Sc. in Signal Processing from ENSPM (High National School of Physics), Marseille, France, 1996 and his Ph.D. degree in Digital Communications in 2000 from University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France. After then, he has worked two years in SIRADEL, Rennes, France as expert in digital communications for radio channel propagation modeling. He is now Professor in Supélec, Rennes, France and his research activities concern Cognitive Radio, Software Radio and Green Radio in SCEE (Signal Communication and Embedded Electronic) Lab of Supélec.
