Abstract:
A theoretical framework for acoustic invisibility of a cloaking system in turbulent fluids is developed based on the essential concept of acoustic analogy. We first show that evident scattering would appear in turbulent wakes owing to the submergence of a classical cloaking device. The inherent physical mechanism is explained using our theoretical model, which eventually inspires us to develop an optimised cloaking approach. Both the near- and far-field scattered fields are numerically examined using computational methods. The remarkably low scattering demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed approach, in particular for acoustic cloaking in turbulent fluids.

黄迅,男,在西北工业大学、清华大学、英国南安普敦大学分别获得学士、硕士和博士学位,并先后任南安普敦大学工学院博士后和讲师,2009年回国加入北京大学工学院,目前任研究员,主持声学实验室建设工作。
2013年至今分别担任民用航空发动机基础技术教育部专家组副组长、和总装气动声学重点实验室学术委员会成员。先后主持多项国家自然科学基金项目和若干横向合作,2013年获得国家自然基金委员会优秀青年科学基金资助(题目:气动声学)。
