The 6th China communication & network international conference (Chinacom 2011), supported by IEEE computer society, European Alliance for Innovation and some other institutions, was convened in Harbin, from 17th to 19th, August, 2011. More than 300 experts and scholars from either research organizations or famous multinational corporations such as China Mobile, Agilent, Hitachi, DoCoMo, NEC, huawei, SonyErricson in China, the United States, Canada, Japan, Korean, Singapore, Malaysia and other 22 countries attended the conference.
During the conference, postgraduate student Ye Lu, from Department of Information Science & Electronic Engineering ,won the Best Student Paper Prize under the guidance of Professor Zhang Chaoyang. This paper, with a title of “An Efficient Power Allocation Algorithm with Fairness Constraints in Cognitive OFDMA System”, was aimed at proposing a solution of distributing power in a more objective, efficient and less complicated way, concerning a complex limited model of cognitive OFDMA system and it was of predominant value to the acknowledgement of realizing and application of the OFDMA system, which has been mentioned above.
Also 8 top papers as well as 8 best student papers were picked up from 259 final selected articles during the conference.
