On April 27-29, ISEE, together with 11 state key Laboratories including the Professional Committee of Complex Radiation Field Technology and Application of China Ordnance Society, the Key Laboratory of Complex Electromagnetic Environment Science and Technology of China Academy of Engineering Physics, the State Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, the Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Compatibility and the State Key Laboratory of Complex Electromagnetic Environment Effects on Electronics and Information System（CEMEE）, successfully co-hosted the Fourth National Academic Conference on Complex Electromagnetic Environment Technology and Application in Hangzhou New Central Grand Hotel. More than 360 guests from 99 colleges and universities across the country attended the conference. At the conference, more than ten famous experts were invited to deliver excellent speeches, including Mr. NIAN Fushun, chief scientist of CETC, Prof. LIU peiguo of National Defense University of science and technology, Prof. MENG Jin of Naval University of engineering, Prof. DUAN Zemin of Hefei University of technology, Dr.Zhou Haijing of Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and computational mathematics, Dr.Yang Yong of Beijing Institute of Satellite Environmental Engineering, Dr.QIN Feng of Institute of Applied Electronics of Chinese Academy of Physical Sciences, and Prof. LIU peiguo of National Defense University of Science and Technology, Dr.YUAN Jun of Xi'an Institute of Modern Control Technology, Prof.CHENG Erwei of Shijiazhuang Campus of Army Engineering University, and Dr.ZHENG Shengquan of China Ship Research and Design Center and so on.
A total of 213 papers were submitted to the conference, and one main session and four sub sessions were set up. The topics covered four main research directions in the field of electromagnetic environment effect mechanism, complex electromagnetic environment test and evaluation, electromagnetic protection and application, numerical simulation of electromagnetic environment, etc. The papers mainly reflected the latest domestic research progress and directions in these fields. Experts and scholars at the conference had a heated discussion on many hot issues of complex electromagnetic environment, and achieved good results. At the same time, 14 high-quality papers were finally awarded the Excellent Paper Awards.

The successful holding of the conference further strengthened the academic exchanges in the field of complex electromagnetic environment research in China, expanded the research horizons of researchers, as well as showed the spirit of members in ZJU to the participants.
