Brief Intro:

The Research Institute for RF & Photonic Information Processing (RPIP) in the College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering at Zhejiang University was established in 2015. There are 5 professors and 2 researchers in the research institute currently.

In recent years, the institute has coordinated and managed a number of national and provincial-level projects, such as the National Key R&D Program, the National 973 Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, achieving a series of technical breakthroughs. The institute mainly focuses on microwave photonic technology, photonic mm-wave/THz technology and its applications, RF signal processing communication, novel sensing and detection technologies, and so on. The academic achievements have been published in international well-known journals, such as Nature Communications, Laser & Photonics Reviews. More importantly, several key enabling technologies have been used in relevant application systems.

The research institute pays special attentions to the cultivation of undergraduate students' innovation awareness and graduate students' innovative ability, and values the cultivation of students' international perspectives by making close collaboration with many overseas universities.
